itouch stuck in restore mode

    i recenlty bought an itouch and HAVENT jailbroken it or anything. When i turn it on it display the 'wire n itunes' pic. i believe its called the restore mode. I tried connecting to the latest itunes to restore but after some time it displays an error message: 'it could not be restored'.
    can someone pls help? thanks in advance

    do a google search for Ziphone. Download it and open the program, then click on advanced settings (i think thats what its called). Then click on "Normal Mode" and it will boot it into normal mode.

    Hold the power and home buttons until the screen goes black, and then release both. Hold the power button until the booting apple shows up, and then release that.

    That also boots to normal mode (From recovery mode). It may be in DFU if both of these don't work, then download the 1.1.4 firmware and manually restore it by shift+clicking the restore button in iTunes and selecting the 1.1.4 firmware.
