iTouch Question

    if i have an itouch 8gb 3rd gen all its internal parts are still 2g or is it new?? if its still the old 2g then why did they call it 3g?

    The internals are "new" meaning manufactured new, but the specs are the same as a 2g. The only difference is that it can't be downgraded to 3.0.

    Can't it be downgraded? It should be able to if it's the same hardware?

    no it cant be downgraded...i think Apple patched the hardware so you cant downgrade

    The hardware is not the same. They've upgraded the processor and RAM capacity. Thus the firmware needs to be tuned to these hardware difference. That's what I think.
