Whenever I attempt to sync my iTouch to my laptop, it charges it, but iTunes doesn't recognize it. It's not even displayed in the Computer tab. I've tried different methods such as restarting both the laptop and iTouch, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I've tried putting it in Restore Mode, but it's not even recognized when forced upon iTunes. I'm not sure what to do anymore. Any ideas?

Apple Mobile Device Support isn't running. reinstall iTunes. If that doesn't work, I don't know.

Try restarting it first: Go to services (Administrative tools or search) and click Apple Mobile Device and then restart.

    Try this:
Turn off wifi or disconnect network cable while in itunes. Then connect itouch. When it's recognized, turn network connection back on.

Best advice so far. I recommend doing this.

What does that have to do with connecting the iPod? iTunes does not support wireless syncing yet, so theres no need to mess with your internet connections.
