Does the iPod touch have a built in microphone? or not?
It does not... Please search.
Use the search or check apple.com/ipodtouch for the ipod touch specs. And no it does not.
excuse me, but although it says in specs, u shouldn't believe it in everything that it's there. For instance...under ur perspective, u might say that there is no Bluetooth either... though THERE IS! People haven't really figured it out how to make it fully functional...but the chip-embbed is there!
and about the mic... i just read, i reckon in engadget.com that there is YES a recording audio-stream chip, but again, same problem...it's set for being disabled all the time.
all look for the link on that article.
It seems like you are a little confused with the facts.
I haven't been keeping up with the whole bluetooth thing because I don't really care, but last time I checked, there was no definite yes or no, but it was leaning towards no.
The iPod touch does have an audio-in portion of the pin, but it is not easily accessible to anybody without a little microphone hacking. The iPod touch itself does NOT have a microphone, but has the capabilities to use one.
Do a search, somebody on this forum figured out how to do it.
The chip embed does not mean that its there at all. It means that you could potentially put the chip in. There is NO bluetooth stock on the touch, and as far as I know, nobody that has manually put it in either.
