    My iPod touch was recently locked to "please connect to iTunes"
    But when I try to do just that, it says that it's locked and the pass code must be entered. Obviously, I can't enter the passcode because it's locked out. Anyone else have this problem?

    I think you should just take it to an Apple store or try putting it into DFU mode.

    force restore:
    put it in DFU (plug it in and hold power and home for 10 seconds, then let go of power and keep holding home for 20 seconds, ipod will be black screen but computer will recognize it)
    shift-restore to firmware

    I wish I could put it into dfu, but the computer with my music on it is broken. So I would lose all my music. Any way of backing up the songs from the iPod? And the apple store will probably do nothing, my experiences with them prior have not been pleasant..

    Did you steal it? I highly believe that...but if it it yours, a DFU restore to the version you had is pretty much your only option.

    How about you give it back to the person you stole it from?

    No one is stupid enough to lock their iPod on accident.

    I'm going to call this now;

    -Petty thief
    -wants to keep the music, because he stole it from someone else
    -iTunes wants the passcode because it's not registered to his account.

    Return the iPod to the person you stole it from.

    Wow.

    Every time someone says "lock screen pass code" someone always says it's stolen.

    Anyway, pop the hard drive out of the broken PC, hook it up to the one you're on now, DFU restore, and go from there

    I never experienced this problem myself but i'm sure this iPod isn't stolem, Why jump to conclusions. Anyway, the only way to unlock it is to put your iPod in DFU mode, by holding the power + home button for 10 secs then release power button and continue to hold home for 15 secs. You unfortunately need a computer get in though. Try obvious combinations though such as 0000 or 1234 or 2009.
