I'm not positive, but I think its the same as an ipod classic. Use a thin, hard piece of plastic, stick it into the seperation between the front and back. Then run it down the side and the two pieces will seperate.
any way he goes about it he can scrape up the sides
I'm sure someone looking to tear apart their ipod isn't too concerned about the scratches. Look on youtube for changing batteries in ipod. Theres an entire tutorial on how to do this. And using the plastic piece almost assures you wont scratch it.
yes but you always have that one dude that does and then say that the people who told him how to do it broke it so yeah i see what youre saying
thanks, i have another post on my problem, when listening to songs music is fine
lyrics seem to be in background, distorted, sometimes if plug is pulled out a bit
it works fine, tried new phones, the same, thought if i took it apart, i could find
the problem, any help is appreciated, think ill leave it together
Take it back. Don't mess around with it. Just get a new one. You have 9 days so you better hurry. Correction: 8 days tomorrow.

If you are trying to fix it yourself then do not. Just contact Apple and get it repaired by a specialist.
