On my old 20GB clickwheel I had the option of setting a playlist or song to my alarm..so i thought i could do the same with my itouch!..but i cannot find the option to set music as your alarm. I only see a bunch of noises...which are really kinda annoying, so can the itouch not set music as the alarm?..cause that really blows..

    1) choose a song, or any kind of music file
    2) use a program, such as wavepad, to convert that file to .aif (aiff)
    3) rename that file Alarm1, Alarm2...etc.
    4) using ssh, connect to WinSCP or whatever you use, go to folder /Library/Alarms/
    5) you can just drag and drop to replace the old sound, rename the original sound if you wish to keep it also
    6) go to clock, preview the alarms, the names do NOT change, but the sound will. and now you can wake up to music :]

NOTE: ~~you DO need some type of speaker or headphones to make this work, as the internal touch speaker's are not able to handle more than just simple sounds~~

ALL THANKS GOES TO THaToNeGuY :]

    any questions just pm me

I would always have a wake up playlist that started out slow, so I would have to put all of them into one file and convert all that into the file to replace one of the tones with? It would be a simple enough 3rd party app to make though (I would think, I don't program).

Yeah.. This is really annoying. Got my new iPod Touch 2G yesterday and was really shocked on this missing feature! Definitely an app for this feature is required...

Did anyone hear this.. Somebody in Cupertino?!
