Hi, I'm wondering if I can upgrade my iTouch with Windows 7 Ultimate x64-bit

I got the .ipsw, I got latest iTunes

Will it be safe to do it?

Also, can I upgrade the iPod, and once it's done unplug from comp and put it in a non-itunes mode? since I lack dev-account and don't wanna risk getting ripped off my money from an activator for the UDID (Don't use iTunes due to Spotify being much better with music)

Sorry if I sound like a total n00b or if there is anything like this in any other thread.

I want a straight answer and maybe a helpful explaination.

    Thx

No, you can't. Just buy a Mac and a Dev Program at Apple.

    I like the new features.

I just had a small memory of it being possible with 3.0.

But thx for the info anyway

You need a mac to update. I don't want to help you because I am guessing you found it.

I'm fairly certain that it's not illegal, just against the NDA.
