. can someone answer my questions. Reason im making this thread cause im bout to score a great deal on a 3rd gen 8gb and i was wondering if i can jailbreak it or not.

Ive jailbroken many ipod touches before. 1st gen and 2nd gen but never a 3rd gen. so heres my question

Is jailbreaking the 3rd gen like the 2nd gen? Or do i have to keep jailbreaking it?

I just want to jailbreak it once and thats all

    Thanks

    Check here.

    It is a tethered jailbreak.

When it gets shut off (For whatever reason) you need to boot it up (Essentially the same as re-jailbreaking).

When you boot it up, all your jailbreak apps will still be there.

    You have to keep jailbreaking.
But since you are getting a good deal on it I would recommend you go on and do it. And untethered jailbreak should be out (can't say soon, but i guarentee it will be out).

Lets say you turn your iPod off. To be able to turn it back on, you need to plug your iPod into the computer and re-jailbreak it. When it turns back on, all your jailbroken apps will still be there.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean.
Most likely it is answered here, discussed there, or has links to where it is answered.

Just to clarify, if at any time your iPod turns off, it will need to be re-booted by using blackra1n, that is the definition of tethered.

    Stop Jailbreaking??

Yeah, "touchfan", ill anderstans that i need to "let it rain" everytime i reboot my ipod... New question, what happends if i'll just stop "re-jailbreakit" everytime? Are all the apps i'we downloaded left and still running, or must i re-jailbreakit to use the apps i'we downloaded??
