I have a 2nd genearation 32gig itouch and it was jailbroken using blackra1n. It is currently stuck in DFU/Recovery mode and it is recognizable by iTunes. But when I try to restore it, it starts to go through the process. "Preparing ipod for restore" "waiting for ipod". >>Then the Apple logo shows up with the status bar. The status bar remains emtey. And about 10-15 seconds later the iTouch restarts and I get error code (9). How can I fix this?

Update to 4.1 and jailbreak with Redsn0w or Greenpois0n.

I just tried Greenp0ison. It goes through the jailbreaking process, then my ipod restarts and goes back into recovery mode

I put it into DFU mode and tried Greenpois0n. Did not work. Then my ipod restarts and goes into Recovery mode.

I am stuck in Recovery mode completely and cannot get out. I can't even use my ipod. It is recognizeable my iTunes though.

So you are in recovery mode.

Put the device into DFU mode. Run itunes and restore to 4.1

Once your on 4.1 with a clean restore. Check back.

Okay I just tried. I put my iTouch in DFU mode, went to restore it to 4.1. My iPod flashed white, then the Apple Logo appeared with the status bar. The status bar did not move, and then about 15 seconds later my iPod screen flashed white, and rebooted back into recovery mode
