Hello, i was playing scrabble while listening to music and my battery completely died on me. This was the very first time that the battery was completely drained. I bought it 2 weeks ago and it is jailbroken 2.2. It doesnt charge when i plug it in. Also, before this happened, when it was working i would have to press the home or hold button in order for it to say that it was charging. Any alternatives to DFU? Will DFU even work since my battery is completely dead? Thank you.

What I usually do is have it plugged in and keep holding the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo, or the battery image when it is completely dead.

Try plugging it into the computer, restore it and try doing that again.

I'm pretty sure you can't restore when the iPod itself is dead.
