EDIT!: I fixed my Ipod touch. If youall have the same problem then just follow the post at the bottom by geekgrrl.

Okay so, I jailbroke my Ipod touch 2g and it was working fine for along time, So I turned it off after downloading somthing from cydia and It didnt come back on so I looked up some videos on how to get it back on so I found 1-Clickboot And when i used that it wanted me to put my Itouch in to DFU mode, So I did and when I did my computer froze so I rebooted the computer and when I turned it back on the keyboard, Mouse anything in USB didnt work so I rebooted again and they worked but it was saying I didnt have any sound or wireless network drivers installed, And then about 15-30 seconds later I got blue screen and my computer rebooted itself and then it would just get blue screen again after it rebooted.. SO I Reformatted the computer and reinstalled Windows Vista Home Priemium back and all the Drivers. And then tried to do 1-Click Boot again And when I put my Itouch in DFU it all happened again.. So I just stopped trying and stored my ipod untill I could get some help..

This may help you avoid a System Restore: Boot in Safe Mode and Uninstall libusb from Control Panel then boot back into normal mode.

More detail "HowTo" here: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthr... isn't working me! compatibility mode!&page=2

If you still would like to proceed..

Do this in the Administrator account:

I think you need Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 but uncertain.
Look in Control Panel>Control Panel Home>Programs Uninstall a Program to see if you have it.

Download and install Microsoft C++ 2008 Redistributable Package http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...34-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf&DisplayLang=en

    Disable UAC:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/wind...nt-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/
reference: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthr...=Libusb isn't working me! compatibility mode!

    Instructions for 64-bit Vista:
    http://outgoing.ifans.com/video.php?l=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfvBQdFM09o

    Instructions for 32-bit Vista:

    Download libUSB here: http://sourceforge.net/project/down...ilter-bin-0.1.12.1.exe&use_mirror=superb-east

Install libUSB in XP SP2 compatibility mode: If you're running Vista or 7, please right click the .exe and select Properties, then click the Compatibility tab, then select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) from the drop-down menu.

After install, a restart may be required.

    Next,

    Preparation:
First of all, end any process to do with Apple, iTunes, or iPod in Task Manager, or better STOP anything to do with Apple, iTunes, or iPod in Control Panel>Classic View>Administrative Tools>Services. This will ensure that none of these programs interfere with the jailbreaking process.

    Next, from the Windows Console:

or, if still unhappy, consider this GUI jailbreak for Windows:

    And Finally,

If all this is too frustrating, then wait for "THE OFFICIAL" GUI (graphical user interface) RELEASE.

I got this stuff, by looking at the forum almost daily and by using the forum Search in the black bar near the top of each and every page in the forum.

No shame, few people get it the first try.

I also suggest you "post" in "iPod touch Fans forum > iPod touch > 2nd Generation iPod touch 2G iPod touch 2G Jailbreak: redsn0w, 24kpwn, etc. here: http://www.ifans.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=172&order=desc

This is the part of the forum, most people look for issues about the jailbreak.
