I have a 1st gen (no speakers) itouch jailbroken on 2.2.1 with quickpwn.
I want to update to 3.? but understand the latest 3.1.2 means you loose some downloads (unless you back up with aptbackup).
Does this back up everything that could be lost, and are apple appts lost also?
Is there another 3.? version that does not require a backup?

Hence what is my easiest and best way to update from 2.2.1

    Thanks

use aptbackup before you update, back up, back up in itunes, update, jailbreak, use aptbackup to restore your jailbreak apps. you don't loose any appstore apps with updating, only restoring.

After jailbreaking with blackra1n, itunes backed up but there was no aptbackup. Where is it, to restore those apts?
