I left it in my car overnight
    it was about.. 20 degrees.
Came into car this morning.. attached it to my skyDock and ..
Apple Logo appears.. then it shuts off.

This has happened before but it would reboot itself after the car would warm up.

Now in the office and trying again -- does the same thing.

    Is it fried?

it may be. try leaving it in a warm room for a few hours. its probably too cold to boot.

Try not leaving it in the cold next time. And you shouldn't try to boot it immediately, you should let it warm up. And if it's way too hot you should let it cool down. Let it get to a good temperature before trying to boot it.

    Ok.
Its been in my office for about 45 min now and its approx 70-72 in here.
It does not feel cold at this very moment.

    Should I wait longer?

wait an hour or so (I mean another 15-20mins) then try again - it is pretty usual that electronical devices won't operate while left in a very cold place for a long time (even 3hrs are enough to get my cellphone freezed for an hour
