    Hey,

So I have an iPhone 3G currently on firmware 3.1.2! I've successfully jailbreaked my iPod Touch 2G on 3.1.2, however, it isn't raining for my iPhone... I plug in my iPhone, close iTunes and open up blackra1n.exe and then click make it ra1n and it puts my iPod to a screen with a USB Cable and an iTunes logo and it says running, it stays like that for up to an hour, and then I un-plug it and re-boot... It didn't rain, I'll tell you that much.

So someone, what's going on here? How do I free my iPhone from it's jail? =D

make sure that iTunes is closed.
do not run in compatibility mode or as admin.
    turn off phone
    open blackra1n
    turn ON phone
    make it ra1n

    it should work

That actually bugs me, who's stupid enough to try and jailbreak one device with two devices plugged in? C'mon man, give me some credit.

And I'll go try that now... ShizerMonkey try the post above you, maybe it'll work...

considering you started off saying iPhone then said iPod its easy for people to get confused whether u had one or two device plugged in.

have you read the tutuorial? http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253736

its hard, but can be done.
make sure itunes does not start automatically when you plug in your iphone.
open both itunes and blackra1n, run blackra1n, when the usb thing shows up manually force your iphone to turn off, exit blackra1n, exit itunes, start blackra1n, when it says "waiting for iphone" turn your iphone back on, wait... if your iphone goes black close blackra1n again and then open again and click make it rain one last time.

that is what I did for my girlfriend, and it worked fine.
