SO... I decided to install iswitcher today, and the installation went well, but after installing it, i realized i didnt need it, so i go to uninstall it and boom. The ipod froze at the uninstalling screen, so i held down the sleep and home button to restart it, and now it flickers between the apple logo and my home page once it starts up, and i cant open anything!!! I'm restoring my ipod right now and im not too happy about it >:-(

You may be unhappy about it but i guess when you jailbreak your iPod and install third party apps, you aknowledge the risks involved with doing such a thing. Having instances where things don't run smoothly is just a consequence of that i'm afraid.

Well said. Still, I would hate for it to happen to me.

True, but i am just saying that it annoys me because I have to install all of my apps again. Anyways, the restore worked fine and i used the http://www.slovix.com/touchfree/jb way instead of touchfree 0.6 to jailbreak it and it works perfect!

I know the old iPods were fairly brick proof, there was nothing you could do to them that a system restore wouldn't fix, are the iPod touch like that? Has there ever been a permanent brick?

The ipod touch is impossible to brick as you can force a restore byt holding home and sleep, and let it re-boot, and still hold them while its re0bootings until the itunes icon comes up

Ok,thanks for the info, its one thing that had me worried about it. I had heard that iPhones have been permanently bricked because of updates over hacked firmware, I'm guessing that as long as I avoid updates ot should be fine then.
