is there any way this app could work on the ipod touch or is it a useless app for it?
You mean like the SMS app from the iPhone?..
It doesn't work if that's what you mean...
Well you could go to that site and make a shortcut on your summerboard for a free sms website
Here's a good site for free sms's - http://www.cbfsms.com/
Works perfectly fine for me Please Register or Log in to view images

You should just use mail app, thats how i send my texts
Using the mail application does NOT send to a phone. But if someone else has e-mail enabled, then they'll be able to read it.
i didnt mean the SMS iPhone app. I meant the iSMS app that was in installer. But it doesnt work on the iTouch.
I dont know if it works for every carrier but it most definitely works for verizon and I'm almost certain sprint
I have an iPod Touch!!
Wow, TOTALLY wrong. You are able to send text messages using the mail application on your iPod Touch, but you have to add the carrier's ending at the end of the phone number, For example, for T-Mobile phones you would have to enter: firstname.lastname@example.org or something along the lines of that. Then when they respond it goes to your email on your iPod Touch, or you can view it on your computer.
There are easier way's to text message on the iPod Touch though, view my "[NoobTutorial] Easiest ways to text message on iPod Touch" thread in the Applications section of the forum.
