ok i figured out how to keep iTunes from deleted your downloaded iSlsk songs:

    so what you do is:

you download the songs u want in iSlsk
import them into your music on your ipod
now ssh into your ipod (I used winSCP)
    go var>mobile>media>downloads>imported
this is all your iSlsk songs
now create a new folder on your desktop
    drag the songs to it
    open iTunes
drag the songs from the folder into iTunes
    now they're there
    plug your ipod in
    sync
and your songs are there, now u can sync without your songs getting deleted

***make sure u dont plug in your iPod before u put the sings into iTunes, otherwise ur songs will be deleted and you'll have to download them again

repeat same steps for new downloads

this kinda defeats the purpose of the import feature... I used to do this before islsk came out

the import feature puts it into your music folder on your ipod, but once you sync it, they get deleted. this prevents that from happening n00b.

This isn't really a fix. Its more like a workaround and I have been doing this for a while now. A fix would be syncing with iTunes and just not losing your songs. nOOb!!! JK

Or you could *gasp* not sync you music. Syncing is totally unnecessary. You can just fill it manually using ctrl+a, drag and drop and achieve the same affect.

music is no longer lost after iTunes sync. That's what the "iTunes ReSync" feature on iSlsk was made for (it re-imports all downloaded music when it gets deleted by iTunes on previous sync)

The Imported folder was created to still support a friendlier way of copying your downloaded music to your computer, whether you inlcude it in your iTunes Library or not

    yeah but...

if you just do resync, something weird happens... Like lets say you have 2 songs that start with "a". Since you stuck 2 songs in there, it pushes two other songs into the "b" column...so the first two songs in the "b" section of you music start with a...this evuntually "dominoes" down to the "z" section being really messed up....so resync is a pain in the @**. Sorry erik, you gotta work on this, i think this happen on my 1.1.1 but im not sure about 1.1.4 yet.

So thanks for this "walkthrough" (not really a fix) it is also nice to have the music on your computer as well

What I usually do is just copy my music folder from my ipod to my desktop using megaphone (really quick) then drag the whole folder to itunes. itunes doesn't sync the stuff that it already has so it only syncs the new stuff. then i just delete the music folder on my desktop. Then sync with itunes. No fuss n muss. It takes about 2min,
