I have seen a few topics on this but there really hasnt been a clear answer. Some people said that it just shows your wifi signal more accurately and others say that wifi drops alot and is weaker. So do you think that i should update if i am almost always using wifi on my ipod. Like i dont have any music on my ipod, only video and apps. lol

    Good and Bad really?

The speed is a lot faster, but unfortunately sometimes wi-fi signal dies or becomes weaker for a short period of time. no biggie.

It's kinda hard to tell especially since we can't read Apple's minds, is it a strength or a flaw?. But personally I think it's just more accurate.

My wifi is horrendous on 3.0 so now I'm going back to 2.2.1. I hope it's fixed soon.

It is not only more accurate, it also has slightly lower power consumption = smaller range, to save battery life.

Yup, WiFi on the 3.0 firmware is FAR more accurate than the one in the previous OS... Still, it's also more reliable as I can still access Safari and even check the Stocks / Weather on a 2-bar signal (with fast page load + info update)...

The wifi is without a doubt messed up in the 3.0 firmware.
