I have replaced an iPod Touch 2g, and just wondering because before it did not have it and compared with my friend's today.

Is there meant to be a black edge just around the front screen? I mean in between the bezel and the screen, there is a black edge, maybe glue around it so the screen is stuck with the casing.

Is this normal? I just hate replacements that they give me now...I don't think there's much to complain is there?

    Thank You.

my 2g has a rubber shock absorbing like thing between the black of the face and the chrome of the edge, if that is what you are talking about

I also have this but mine are often blank and not black which makes me wonder.

    Scratch that, they are black

Does anyone know what the standard size of the black outline is though? The one on mine seems to be 4 or 5 pixels. Kinda hard to tell with the close shaded of black.
