i had an almost "bricked -like" ipod touch 2gen before,
i downloaded redsn0w and started the application..

my touch went on /off several times and flashed, not its a screen with a
"green arrow on a harddrive" with the text "downloading jailbreak data..."

the screen on my touch has been visible for about 5-9 minutes now..

is this correct? nothing on my pc is open, no window or nothing,
so nothing shows me that a process is currently present.. or ?

f***... now my ipod went blank and windows stated that "usb device not recognizible"

    please, help!!

after a while the litte "command-windows" was closed, right before it said there that it was "rebooting"

but now i still have the green arrow on harddrive -sign
with the tex: downloading jailbreak data...

probably will the ipod shut off in a while, like my last try..

what the heck should i do??

got my ipod yesterday, tried to jailbreak it thru cyw00d first - without sucess, after that i tried the redTool-app, and then it went to hell..
cant seem to find the ipod in itunes - and this isnt helping either..

please help!!!!! can anyone help ????

Well i did wait, this is what hapened..

after about 12-15 minutes the arrow-harddrive screen disapered,
and instead the ipod went blank (black screen)

i waited about 5 more minutes, but nothing hapened...

is this correct, as it should be?

or is this problem due to the fact that ive tried 2 other jailbreak-methods earlier?? neither of theese two did realy do the trick and jailbreak my touch..

    please help!!!

if anyone could just help me to restore the ipod to the factorysettings??
everytime i go thru itunes and try to restore it - it wont work,
ive also tried to specify wich file its going to restore thru - wont work !!

    help!!!

Go to DFU (home+power for 10 seconds, then release power and continue holding for 10 seconds) and then restore to a fresh original firmware
    Then try jailbreaking again

    I used unofficialsnow

    Dude, CHILL-Axe.

Your fine. The only way you can BRICK is by intentionally screwing around the file system in places that the JB programs dont even touch.

    CHILL.

    Its OK.

Yea the screen isn't supposed to go blank. Just restore and try again.

ive tried to go back to the first firmware again

after the reset (power+home) ill get in to itunes, finding the ipod there
but when im trying to choose the file to restore to.. the status bar first moves quickly, and then it freezes at the start of the status-bar

    after a while, about 10-12 minutes i get error 1604 (i think..)
right now my ipod isnt entierly black.. its kind of a light in the background..

ive tried to restore about 3-4 times now.. shouldnt it have worked by now???

    help!!!
