    what i mean is adding a theme classed as jail braking and can my ipod get locked for it i just want to know before i ddo it any help is appreciated

    I believe you have to jailbreak in order to add themes, and your iPod will not be locked by anything, the only way you can truly brick an ipod is by deleting system files or some other stupid thing. Theres plenty of threads already about on this kind of thing, many of them stickied.

    but isnt there a risk or something when u jail brake an ipod and u cant update it

    I think that was a myth. Check the stickied threads to be sure, there's plenty of information.
    No-one I know has ever had the problem you're describing.

    thanks for all your help but i dont think will risk it cant find any infomation on what damages it can do and i dont want it affect my warrenty just so i can put i theme on

    the thing about the ipod or iphone
    is they havea an s-gold chip sounds complicated bascailly means
    you cannot brick the ipod no matter
    someone i think ammanged once but that was doing somethign un jailbreak lated i think they were dual booting it
    if anythink and i mean anythink software related goes wrong download ziphone and press dfu mode that will enable you to restore with itunes
    bascially go mad you cant break your ipod

    also, if anything goes wrong just restore your ipod and no-one will ever be able to tell it was jailbroken, therefore your warranty still stands.

    i thought apple could tell that your ipod had been jail broken because its always connected 2 the internet and when u do and update
