Is this a 2G or a 3G?

    Umm.. Im jailbreaking my friends ipod and idk if it is 2gen or 3gen. The serial number is 8M949... It is so confusing. Help

    MC models are 3g right?

    if it is, is it any different than a 2g jailbreak? Exept it being teathered

    sumdaii, its an 8gb mc model. That means its a 3g if im correct. Is there any difference with jailbreaking 3gs because Im having a problem with it

    Its a tethered jailbreak so it means you need to plug it into the computer and run blackra1n to boot it up.

    I Think i have a 3g. and The only difference i see between the 2g and the 3g jailbreaks with blackra1n are when my ipod completely dies. or i shut it completely off. i just have to re-boot blackra1n. everybody makes such a big deal out of it. but its really nothing. i dont even let my ipod die.
