Is there Software to Put iTouch on DFU?

    Why u want the soft it's too easy to get in dfu mode

    I'm afraid to damage the Home button .there are several that can put to recovery mode.why not DFU?

    How are you going to ruin the home button? Holding it for 30 seconds won't hurt it any more than normal use.

    youre not gonna damage any button. millions of people have done it.

    There is currently no software that will put your device in DFU mode. It's not that hard though.

    I tend to press it a little harder if until the screen goes blank.

    Hope this thread isn't too old.

    I must be a complete noob... I have an 8gb iPod touch 3G (MC model) running iOS 4.1, and I cannot for the life of me get this thing in DFU. I can get it in recovery mode just fine, but DFU remains elusive. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated...

    The greenpois0n thing is no help when getting into dfu, so annoying. it says turn it off, but when my one is off i plug it in it turns on straight away.
