    As the topic says.

So my family of 5 shares a computer. As a result, there are 5 users on it (a Windows Vista). Normally I am on my user account when I am fiddling with my iPod touch (d/l apps, etc.)

Yesterday, my mom had logged on to her account and was playing a CD through iTunes (WMP seems to suck round objects). I saw that my iPod appeared in the sidebar, and if you clicked on it you can see all my music and vids (I have it set to manually manage), and with one click of a button, my mom could have synced and erased my whole iPod (well 2 clicks actually), as she has no files in her library.

Also I would prefer people not be able to see my music and vids for certain reasons which are too long to put here (no they are not obscene/porn), so again . . . is there anyway to prevent access to iPod touch through iTunes?

My iPod Touch only appears when connected via USB, and ON.

    Unplug? Turn OFF?

I think everyone has been busy with news from Apple announcements.

If you just hit the eject button next to your iPod in the iTunes left pane it will still be plugged in and charged and all, but your mom would have to unplug and plug your iPod back in to be able to mess with it.
