    Right basically...

I partitioned my hard-drive and then installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my partition thinking that i could quickly erase the disk and re-partition/re-install windows xp on it. I was very annoyed when it wouldn't let me erase the partition ready for a new partition and i really wanted xp to be duel booted instead of linux, so i tried using disk utility to erase the disk and well, it erased it but now whenever i boot it up into that partition it just says something to do with the grub files and stuff.

My Disk utility looks like this:

    Bootcamp gives me this message:

Does anyone know what the 'Linux Swap' 'disk0s3' 'disk0s4' are?

The 'WINDOWS' partition was called 'disk0s5' before i erased it.

I really want to duel boot XP...

    Thanks in advance!

You have to delete the partition while no OS is running. That means that you need to format it with a CD or similar.
