Hey Guys, I want to put a '.rm' file on my ipod touch so I can watch it through MPlayer or vlc4iphone but dont want to use SSH. is there any other software or way that I can do this, maybe by using the USB cable?

    Thanks

You could upload a file to a file hosting site ([PIRACY.rs], sendspace, [PIRACY.mf], etc.) and download it to your iPod with the Download Plug-in.

not the same as the jailbroken one.
just get mobilefinder and press the sync button
but the address would be like ftp://192.168.1.XXX:2121/

Thats a great idea but the last time I used the Safari Download Plug In it messed up BBC iPlayer which is a service I really like using on my touch

I have the files on my PC I just want to get them onto my ipod. the thing with SSH is that it drained my battery a lot so I was hoping for something that would just allow me to connect my ipod touch via USB and it would open the contents or just an app that could wirelessly send the file from my PC to the iPod.

    Im sorry for waffling on

It always costed money on the App Store. The main difference is that it doesn't crash hard and then permanently lock up the way it used to on 1.1.x. At that point, you had to delete the Preferences file to fix the issue, because it ran out of RAM trying to load the folder you were in.
