I've already researched this. There are 3 ways that I found.

And another one that similar to the third link above. I've baiscally tried these methods, and none of them have done the trick. Anyways does anyone know a way that works? I'm on the 3G S currently stuck with that damn 3.1 FW. Please Help. Thank you!

Everything I've seen doesn't seem to mention a way to downgrade.

The Dev-Team is working on a JailBreak for the 3.1 firmware and you might just have to wait for that (unlock may not be possible). I am guessing that once the 3.1 JB is out they may focus their attention on a downgrade but for now I am assuming that their time is spent with a JB for the new firmware.

Actually there are a few methods listed on the web that are supposed to downgrade. The links I posted was most of them. However those methods have not worked for me. I understand that the DevTeam is working on the new JB, and that they are not focusing on a way to downgrade, but I'm just wondering if anyone has been able to successfully downgrade their iPhone/iPod touch. If yes I'd like to know how they did it, and that if they could tell me.

According to (i think it was musclenerd's) twitter. If you have a personal backup of your iphone that was on 3.0 or 3.0.1 you can restore from that. But restoring to stock fw is not possible from 3.1
