Then do what everyone elso has done - read the popular threads on the first page.

The Crap usually drops through the forum pretty quickly.

Good job we dont live next door to each other then.

If it wasnt me, it would have been someone else who wouldn't have been so nice.

At least I provided you some links to get you off your lazy backside.

The advantage of the jailbreak is that you can have the best of both worlds - third party apps and an improved firmware with new features. Every single standalone app (i.e. all of the games, toys, and useful tools such as Web Search, TuneWiki, Stumbler and MobileFinder) works perfectly. And developers for other apps that don't work are working on updated versions. MobileScrobbler for 1.1.3 is already out, and it works beautifully.

The disadvantage is that SummerBoard and Customize don't work. But I personally don't care about that; they're only really for show and serve no actual purpose. Another obvious disadvantage is that the jailbreak method is verging on illegal, because it cheats Apple out of the $20 for the Upgrade Pack that you would have bought. I have a clear conscience because I HAVE bought the Upgrade Pack.

But at the end of the day, it's your device. Do what you want with it, and if you're happy with what you have, don't bother with the 1.1.3 jailbreak. As good as it is, it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference to my life. As long as my iPod plays music, I don't care; the rest is an added bonus.
