Is there any other way apart from pwnage to upload the beta firmware?
I accomplished it with Pwnage, but do any of you know an alternate that doesn't make your iPod show its pink feminine side?

That, I'm afraid, gives you the purple screen, you could prove me wrong and make a video of you doing the upgrade, but I don't beleive that will work

The absolutely only way to load unsigned firmware onto your Touch or iPhone is through the Pwnage Tool. Any other way only leads to PSOD or error messages.

    Why do you ask?

Well, you could convince a legit developer to add your iPod's serial number to his list of approved devices. If he had a normal account (the $99 one), he could only have 5 devices enabled, and if he had an enterprise account (the $399 one), then he could make multiple "teams", each with 5 approved devices.

But I don't think that's likely to happen unless you know them personally, is it?

This is probably a n00b question, but whats the difference between the enterprise account and the normal account (apart from what you just said)

    Device:
    4G iPod touch
    Enterprise account = 5 Developers for $299.

    Normal Account = 1 Developer for $99.

Its like how they sell Mac OS X.

    Family Pack for 5 Users = $199.

Single User Pack for 1 User = $129.
