I dont know if this goes against website polic, but if it does-my bad, and feel free to take it off. But anyways I have a 3.1.3 32GB 3G Ipod Touch jailbroken with Spirit. Is there anyway I can play the following files: .avi .mkv .rmvb?

You should check out Air Video. There's a free version, and as long as you have wifi, you can stream any video straight to your device while your computer transcodes it. It's an insanely fast app and the video quality is great. Your other option is to repackage the MKV as an MP4, or to convert the AVI or RMVB files to MP4. There's no solution for native support of alternate video formats at the moment.

Yeah, it's easiest to just convert using iPodME or Handbrake.

If you are jailbroken, you can use yxflash or vlc4iphone, but the quality is horrid.
