is there a way to get iTunes to shut up?

    so i have a jailbroken 2g. runs great. perfectly fine. and so i reboot it and i'm doing the normal terminal commands but itunes just gets on my nerves.

    "ITUNES HAS DETECTED AN IPOD IN RECOVERY MODE. BLAH BLAH BLAH"
    is there any way to disable the notification? thanks.

    Yes. Uninstall iTunes. If you have jailbroken, you won't need it until your ipod commits suicide eventually.

    no dont uninstall
    turn off "open itunes when ipod detected"
    btw you need to close itunes in order for the JB proccess to go smoothly

    Switch the option for iTunes to pop up once you connect the iPod if it is checked.

    Also, end all processes that have to do with iTunes.
    If you're on a Mac, use Activity Monitor, and force Quit iTunes Helper, and iTunes.
    If you're on Windows, use Task Manager, and end iTunesHelper and iTunes.
