Hi,I'm looking for an app that plays .avi files on ipod touch. my ipod touch is jailbroken and is using the 2.2 firmware. I've tried vlc4iphone,zodplay and mplayer to play .avi files on my ipod touch but, none of them have worked. I have the safari download plug in and dtunes to download the files but,is there a way I can convert my .avi files to .mp4 format right on my ipod touch? when you convert on the computer it's very time consuming. I mean like once the .avi file is done downloading on my ipod touch, can I just convert it on my ipod touch?
    Thanks,supergirl13

God, why would you want to convert videos on your device? It would be god awful slow and your device would heat up to high hell.

Think about it. Your computer has FANS to cool down the CPU when converting movies. The CPU reaches upwards of 90% to 100% while converting.

Tes, he means like VLCplayer for iPhone/iPod touch that the dude who makes emulators made. Not to convert, but to play them on your iPod.

Really? So, would one just copy the app over to their device and it would work? Sweet!
