Hi. I'm so exited about the whole jailbreaking stuff and I really want to try it out. But I'm a little bit too afraid, changing so much stuff in the filesystem. I'd never be able to undo everything when apple releaeses a nice update. Is there a way back, like a factory restore or a restore disk-image and how can you do that? iPHUC?

All you need to do is restore using itunes. Everything will go back to normal. Search around the forums next time. Thanks

Oh great. That helps a lot. I'd have used the search, but I didn't know where to start. So if someone else reads this:

    - Yes, you can restore if you mess up or want to install an apple update later
    - The option is in iTunes under Settings
    - If it does not work reboot your computer and put the iPod into recovery mode

    Recovery Mode:
Hold down BOTH home and lock button until you see apple logo
CONTINUE to hold home button, but release lock button
Keep holding home button and do not release it, eventually (typically after 25 seconds after you get to your springboard), you will see the cd, itunes, and arrow screen. Plug it into your iTunes and restore, it will work.

Perfect. Less confusing than other posts.
