Is there a text messaging app that allows people to send texts to my cell phone but they just get forwarded to my ipod, like the way apple mail works. So the texts would be sent to both my phone and the ipod, and I could reply with either?
    Thanks.

Textfree does this. You have to go into Setting and just put in your cell phone number. Then, you'll receive a text to confirm on your cell phone.

If you have Google Voice, you can get the GV Mobile application on Cydia.

No it doesn't. The way the "Register your number with Textfree Database" works is when a friend sends you a text FROM TEXTFREE, they can put the recipient as "1-555-555-5555" instead of "coolguy@textfree.us".

Text+ is a free, yet very good texting app. Standard messaging fees apply. Though I'm curious, why would you use this? Especially if your regular phone works? It wont save your friend's money, because they still have to message.

Because I hate using the standard number key on my cell phone. I would much rather use the keyboard on the touch.
