    I have both units and i am thinking of getting a remote but it seems that thry require two completrly different remotes so i was wondering if there was a thir party or hack to make either remote work on both units?

    I dont care so much about the radio.

    i think if you plug it with a dock, like iHome or some JBL dock for iPods +remote, it should work.

    Try this;

    www.gear4blueye.com

    The remote functions (but not the FM part) works withe the 2G touch, I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure about the classic 80gb. Website claims it's compatible with all ipods though.

    Audio is a bit on the disorted side, especially music with a lot of bass (I usually turn the EQ on with bass reduction)

    It connects with bluetooth mobile phones so that's a plus! You can take calls without touching your phone!

    Apple Universal Dock. It comes with a small remote and its a pretty handy device. I just use it to charge my phone.
