Yeah, if I use iTunes, my iPod will be restored so I need a program that's similar to it that supports 3.0 firmware.

Why would it randomly restore it?

Because I had to restore my computer and all of the iTunes data was erased. And plus, iTunes won't even open. So are there any programs?

Don't give up on iTunes yet... you have tried reinstalling the program, right? And if you're worried about losing your music then use SharePod to get it off, then open iTunes.

Checked the website, does it also sync and backup your purchased apps? Can you also login to App Store? thanks!

I'm fairly certain the App Store and apps are limited to iTunes and iDevices

Ohhhhh, no what I think he means is that his itunes is set to autosync off of the library he has on it, meaning that he's afraid that when he plugs it up it'll erase all of his songs due to a lack of music.

You can use Total Commander + the T-PoT plugin, wont have to SSH in. Its really simple, all your music is located under
    \\\T-PoT\private\var\mobile\Media\iTunes_Control\Music\*

If iTunes works the same way it does when I backuped my music this way, it will be able to turn the funky looking names for the songs (AUMT) back to their original name (Final Day - Pennywise [for me]). It will take a while so if you do it, it will take a while. Should be faster than Wifi transfer though, since it transfers through USB.

OH... and completely forget all this if you are a Mac user
