Hi, im a new mac user and was wondering is it neccessary to reinstall OSX on a regualr basis, like many of you know windows XP gets slower the longer you leave between a OS install.

Is this neccessary on a mac?

No, Mac OS X is using another disk format, it's HFS search for that...
Your Mac will be as fast as it was when you first turned it on (except you are running many apps in the background etc
