I have 9 App Screens completely filled with apps on my Touch 2G -- I downloaded a couple more and the App store tells me that I've already downloaded the Apps but I can't see them and no new app screen appears.

[Note: There is plenty of memory. I'm wondering if the OS simply cannot support another screen filled with Apps.]

Love to hear any of your experiences with this problem.

I think 9 screens is the maximum.
You don't need that many applications though, so just delete a few.

Quite true, Meikura. Thanks for confirming that for me.

I'll delete some, sink it and then I will probably encounter the apps that I have downloaded but have been unable to find.

    Thanks.

Yes, 9 pages is the max at this time.
Hopefully will be changed in a firmware update (2.3...let's hope)
I actually think 9 pages is limiting...especially having a 32gb touch..I have ample room for more apps...but if apple is going to limit me, then I'll have to limit my app store purchases...(hint hint apple...)

use categories to put files on the spring board which you can put apps and other stuff inside that will save space

There has been a thread on this like yesterday...
But anyways, yes it is limited as it was already answered, but you probably don't need all of them! If you are just asking, then...

But If you really need more, you can get an App called Categories. It allows you to put the apps and games in the folders! You can't get it yet because you are not jailbroken, but as soon as it is released, you can!

Jailbreak it using spirit, worked for me, get categories, seems like you are an app freak. I got 400 apps right now, but it ugly, maybe try unlimited dock just shove EVERYTHING inside your dock.

Epic bump for no reason, the person was on 2.x.x which means he couldn't search
