I am asking on another forum about smartphones to see if I can get one as good as the iphone for less.

But allot of people say that the iPhone is incredibly limited and I am just wondering if the iPhone is as limited as some people are saying or are they just ignorant trolls?

Where the iPhone really shines, is its retina display and its amazing app store and without being jailbroken - it dosn't have much customization options. And a good competitor is android - for example the samsung galaxy S. Choose a phone you want and will suit you - dont let others make your mind up!

Well, you need a computer to use it properly, the bluetooth is limited, and you can't put you want on there without jailbreaking it, so yeah it's pretty limited.

The iPhone OS is pretty neat, the one i like the best on smartphones, the iPhone 4 right now has the bests hardware available as well: (sharpest screen around, all new sexy design, gyroscope, one of the best CPU/GPU combo, great camera. etc.) Plus its got the app store

You can do pretty much what "other phone can do" by jailbreaking

personally i think iphone 4's are much better than people think, because its quite often only the bad things that get talked about -_- but thats just me.

side-note: why did you make that topic in the PC section? 0.o

    It gets allot more responses.

See personally I never cared for customisation in the context of say themes (haven't even changed the wallpaper).

So basically if I can JB it, the iPhone is still a good competitor to Android...yes?

Well if you want to put anything on it, you'll need your computer.

Agreed, although the iPhones camera specifications are really quite poor compared to other phones.

Actually it has one of the best cameras compared to other smartphones (which surprised me)
