Well here I am, sitting with a fresh new Jailbroken 1.1.3 Ipod, and quite honestly I feel as if the whole process wasn't worth it. I lost all of my apps, I got screwed up in the process and had to restore - meaning I have to resync all of my music (and about half of it is not even on my computer...), etc. etc. Now to top it off, summerboard doesn't work which means no more themes. The apple default is soooooo boring.

What did I gain from the jailbreak? A wiggle feature which customize already did, and a locate me feature which I'll hardly use anyways. Is there anything else new to the 1.1.3 firmware, or is that it?

I'm thinking of just going back down to 1.1.2 and staying there. Anybody feel that way too?

Edit: I'm not knocking on the Dev team - they did one helluva job and my hat is tipped towards them, I'm just talking about the firmware upgrade specifically.

i totally hear you. im still on a jailbroken 1.1.1.
there hasnt really been anything in the updates that have made me want to update.
the sdk almost got me. but i thought about it..and realized i didnt care much for it. i mean im not dying to have flash on my ipod touch. (if they come out with it)

i think ill be staying on this 1.1.1 for a while.

    I still haven't jail broken my 1.1.3

I paid my twenty bucks and am extremely happy with a non-jailbroken touch.

    main reason i like 1.1.3,
safari seems to run large sites SOOO much better.
take myspace for instance, it used to lag like crazy when it was loading,
    now it runs so smooth.

plus the wiggle thing entertains me

Doesn't work for me either (Manchester). Does anyone know which wifi hotspots in the UK the locate me feature recognizes?

Downgrading as we speak, till we get the apps running in 1.1.3 I will be sticking with 1.1.2

Admittedly it's a great job they have done to prove that nothing is impossible, But right now it's kinda wasted.

I'm moderately happy with 1.1.3. Weblinks are cool and the increased performance is nice. It's pretty much everything I thought it would be. And now after about 5 restores everything is going good. Just give it another couple days and all of our favorite applications will be working correctly with 1.1.3.
