Is it? And on my carrier's website it says you can tether it.
I think they just want you to pay lots, don't they.... :/
I reckon you should find a carrier that does not know about tethering, cause if they don't know about. They can't charge you...
The carriers think it will put too much strain on their networks, so they don't like tethering.
Perfectly legal as long as your carrier supports it. Mine offers it as a standard service up to my 4GB monthly data limit.
I have unlimited internet for 40euro a month. Which is like $50
I also have 100texts2 other networks, 150mins to other numbers, free texts n calls to my network. is that good?
I have a contract with 1gb free data, 200sms, 150 mms and 3000 min's Please Register or Log in to view images it has a monthely fee of €74,89

in Germany tethering costs extra...but we just don't care. just do it, at least in Germany, they can't dectect it Please Register or Log in to view images
but watch out not to exceed your bandwidth or it will cost you like hell =D
our networks are very reliable though and they can (at the moment) handle the high demand supplied by tethering Please Register or Log in to view images
unlimited data plans are cheap in Germany, they start from 10€/month and that's even on prepaid plans. The only thing is: when does the carrier cut down the bandwidth...GSM speed (GPRS) is unusable.
Just make sure you only view web pages or your bandwidth will spike and the carrier I'll know your tethering without their consent,
then they are guessing it...in Germany the laws say that they have to prove it and only then they can charge you or ban you...so we're lucky here I guess..don't know the situation in the US tho...but UK should be similar to Germany
