Once you restore, your warranty comes back

. And the firmware version has no effect on it

once you DFU restore , then your warranty comes back , because a normal restore doesn't delete the jailbreak files while a DFU does.
  4. why yes...when you restore after jailbreaking, the jailbreak still leaves residual files behind. I would restore through iTunes, then on the iPod, go to "Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Contents and Settings", but you never know...Apple might have a way of figuring out.

...and use spell check net time

to the guys saying that a normal restore leaves files behind:
I never heard of such thing, i think you are confusing UPDATE with restore
when you restore whether or not you do it in dfu mode, iTunes erases ALL your files

and to the ones saying that apple might have have a way of figuring out:
No, and they wont even bother to do extensive search on the file system to look for jailbreak traces, they dont care or have the time for it

If you are on official/unmodified firmware you are GOOD!
    don't worry about it

No that's completely false. As mentioned above, some preference files are copied back to the device if you restore from a backup. Included in those preferences are Carrier and Banner text.
