2.0GHz Aluminum Macbook 160GB HDD 2GB RAM Nvidia Geforce 9400m?
Outdated for what?
I would also say the processor is.
But that doesn't mean it's bad.
I used to have OS X running (still do) on my PC with a 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo.
Then I swapped it with a 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad.
It was defiantly usable for the average computer jobs (internet, email, anything else)
I only upgraded it to a Quad core for gaming.
Whilst it's outdated, it's defiantly usable.
Come to think of it, Core 2 Duo's aren't really even outdated....
They're included in many PCs being sold (And Macs)
Quads and that are obviously meant for much heavier use (Gaming, editing). Not everybody needs that.
Not that outdated if you ask me
Gaming and graphic editing... I am going to wait until the Core i9 comes out and hopefully it will be in the new Mac Pros..
What kind of gaming? If you were gaming, why did you get a Laptop? Graphics? What kind and how heavy? On OS X, you should do fine since Photoshop CS4 is GPU accelerated. 9400M is quite good for that. In terms of gaming, it can run COD4 at high settings just fine. So that's kind of a benchmark at the kinds of games that you can run. Maybe even better.
What happened to the outrageously expensive Mac Pro that you bought a few weeks ago?
I was joking about that Please Register or Log in to view images
