I feel like my iPod 's battery life is shortening. Now, you know how you were always told not to charge your cell phone until it was close to dead? I sure hope this isn't the case for iPods because I've been doing that lately. I mean, c'mon, did Apple seriously think we were going to wait 'til our iPods were near-dead to add songs onto them?

So, the final question comes down to this: is it better to wait until it completely dies, almost dies, or charge whenever possible?

Wrong Category. Could a mod delete this, or something? Because this has started happening quite a bit.

    Probably. All batteries experience this.

Oh, my bad. If there's a mod reading this, please move it?

ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME? I don't believe you. Nope. Nuh uh. I forget where, but somewhere on the iPod Touch's packaging it says the iPod can handle around 1000 charges. So doesn't that mean charge as few times as possible? And are you also saying that it's because I don't charge whenever possible that my battery life is short?

if batterys didnt die, car batterys would cost like 100x more

and everyone would be using hybrids by now because that would mean only paying that high price once, never having to replace it, just charge it...

its possible ur ipod is loosing some life, but if its 2rd gen i doubt that cause it would be very new.. if u had it for several years then its possible.... jailbreaking sometimes has hidden things that will kill ur battery faster (its charge, not its life) and wifi, push, briteness all things like that kill it faster.

Which means that it would be the same for iPods and iPhones.
