Honestly all of the complaining you have been doing just tells me that the MyTouch 4G is a terrible device... - It comes with a slow Class 2 SD card - Battery life is poop. - LCD has issues. - Build quality is poop.
-Not the best ever, but it was pretty darn good. Really?? Thats weird. When I had that device It came with a class 6 8GB Card Battery Life was okay (much better with CM7) Heard about the LCD issue never applied to me Not the best ever, but it was pretty darn good. HTC must have cheaped out, they're definitely losing their touch with their latest devices, Sammy and Apple have the ball now. Off topic: Does anyone know how battery is on WP7 devices?
Part 1: I'm sure what you're saying is true. GazaIan would probably say the same. But from this guy's experience, the newer models may be messed up. Part 2: The battery life on my friend's HTC Surround was terrible. He used to charge it twice a day. But he says it got a lot better with the Mango update. Still not fantastic though. Gets through the day.
The kernel and the ROM have magic. I got two days from a Sense ROM the other day, couldn't believe it was Sense.
I bought it used though. So sd card might not be factory, battery might be old, and lcd isn't too bad just not good viewing angles like iphone 4.
Badd_Blood you should try factory reset you phone via Android Recovery (this will not effect you Internal Storage, SIM Card and SD Card) How to get in recovery 1. Turn the MyTouch 4G off. If it’s frozen and not responding to commands, you may want to pull the battery from the device to force it off. 2. Press and hold the Volume Down button. 3. Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds then release. Continue to hold Volume Down. 4. When you see the Android logo appear, you may then release Volume Down. 5. Now use the Volume Up/Down buttons to highlight Factory reset. 6.Press the Power button to select. The hard reset process will begin. It may take a few minutes to complete, then the MyTouch 4G will restart as normal.
Badd_Blood Yes it would. But that will reset the battery settings. Then you can install the ROM again
I use GalNet MIUI on my AT&T Galaxy S II and can get through a full day (7am to 9pm) with hardcore usage without a problem.
