Because when I bought it yesterday, I was pretty sure it was a game but now I'm starting to wonder.

I play for maybe 10 minutes, then I sit and watch a 45 minute or more cutscene.

I've always been a fan of MGS, but man they just went crazy with the storage capacity of the blu-ray, there's like hour cinematics like every 15 minutes.

Yeah it's too cinematic for it's own good. There is by far more to watch than there is to play.

    Exactly.

Don't get me wrong, I do like watching them and they do all look (graphically speaking) incredible, but I wish they had just shortened them up a bit. I can't even concentrate on them after the first 15 minutes or so, I just get bored.

Nah, the cutscenes make it awesome, but some of them can get a bit boring.

At least they got rid of the Tac Com (isn't that what it's called?).

They need all that video to explain what is going on.

Its a great story, the game play is alright... just wish it had for stealth parts like the 4th act... i think.

I still think it's the weakest MGS title. I think 3 nailed the balance between cutscene and gameplay and had the best story and atmosphere. 4 was too convoluted. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. It just didn't surprise me in any positive way.

Even though i love Metal Gear Solid so much... i gota agree with you there...

MGS3 Gameplay to Cutscene ratio, MGS4 engine, and more stealth like the city act in MGS4... all that and you have one of the best MGS games.

The Visuals in this game are amazing though, it's like you're playing a cutscene.
