i jailbroke my ipod with quick freedom 2-3 days after the jailbreak was discovered(made public). i was wondering if it was worth it to restore my ipod and use the beta quickpwn to jailbreak it instead?

Are the other methods suddenly unofficial? I could have sworn that they use the same 24kpwn implementation...

Well no. Technically yours are official but the redsn0w 0.3 is the Dev teams release of their jailbreak.

OT: Thanks Chris for making me sound dumb in your sig. Hahaha
