I guess it depends on how old you are and how cool you think it is to have some stupid theme on your ipod. I would say don't bother with it.

If you dont mind having to put your iPod into DFU & booting, & if you don't plan on getting/making a dongle, then normal tethered is fine. I went from normal tethered to "run rs" tethered because it was alot easier to boot on my Ubuntu Netbook (i was having issues with DFU Mode being detected).. Anyway... Back to your question: Personally i like "run rs" alot better because the reboot is easier & quicker than the last tethered

If you like a fast reboot. Ya. If you dont know what your doing. No. I like it though. It depends on what you like I guess?

With run rs, it takes like a fourth of that though.
But I guess if you don't know how to do it, then don't bother.
But if you can get it to work right, it'll be much easier to boot up.

Can somebody answer my question, how do you reboot with run rs? do you just hold sleep/wake and home button for 10 seconds and wait for the connect to itunes logo to come up? sorry about the dumb question, but what i have been reading about run rs isn't very clear in that area

I have always jailbroken and done lots of testing since the beginning to help people out and write guides. One of my iPhone 3g's is jailbroken as is my 2nd gen ipod. However when I need to restore my ipod I won't bother with the jailbreak. Basically I just do it to do it, I could care less about the stupid themes and emulators that slow down the device and eventually make it crash.
