My iphone 3g is currently being jailbroken on 3.0 firmware. I've read a lot of things saying that 3.1 has serious battery problems. Now, are these claims real? Does 3.1 have battery issues?

my overall question is this: Are the added features of 3.1 worth it if these battery claims are real?

I haven't so much noticed. The battery issues (well for the 3g) says it's 6 hours less of audio and the same amount for video, who just listens to music? I mostly play games which drains my battery fast on its own.

I have an iPod Touch 2G.
All I can say, is that overall, it's running smoother than when it was on 3.0

    I'm liking it, alot. =D
But there's not that many changes in 3.1.1 For the iPods, other than the iTunes Home Screen(s) Function, providing you have iTunes 9, Aswell.

It's worth getting, after all the trouble people have gone through to make it possible.
I don't really notice a drain in Battery Life. Not yet, anyway.

My battery is fine on my 3G... I say you should upgrade. The only downside of that firmware is the double home click thing.

    Meh.
I didn't use the double-click home function much, anyway.

    It's worth it,
    Convenience wise.
